South of France. What cities should we go to?

Jump to last reply

My husband and I are traveling to France in early July for 8 days. We plan to spend 2 days in Paris and tthen take the train down to the Provence region for 6 days. Where should our base city be? We would like a place that is centrally located so that we can do a variety of different day trips by car. We are interested in charming towns like Arles and Avignon but where else should we visit? Any suggestions for where we should stay and what we should do or see?
