Sorrento to Salerno - Order of cities on bus ride
Is this the correct order of cities / towns going from Sorrento, then down the Amalfi Coast when riding one of the buses?
Reason I ask: the map I consulted seems to conflict with a Rick Steves book I read.
Sorrento
Positano
Praiano
Amalfi
Ravello
Salerno
Paestum

You won't actually travel through Ravello on the Sorrento-Salerno bus unless you change to a separate bus that goes Amalfi-Ravello-Amalfi. Also, to get to Paestum also involves a change of buses, this time in Salerno.
I wouldn't describe any of them as cities, with the exception of Salerno.

The main SITA bus routes you will require are
Sorrento - Amalfi (via Positano)
Amalfi - Ravello
Amalfi - Salerno
Your list is correct so you take the Sorrento to Amalfi bus (alighting at Positano enroute if you wish) then in Amalfi you can take the Amalfi to Ravello bus and then return to Amalfi to take the Amalfi to Salerno bus.Paestum is further along the coast and can be reached by train or bus from Salerno

If possible, rent a car and drive the Amalfi coast. I've done it a number of times and it is not as difficult as people say. Narrow and curvy but no big deal. With a car you can stop and really take the time to appreciate what must be one of the most beautiful drives anywhere. Stop in Amalfi, relax on a bench along the water. Have a light lunch at the Pizza/sandwich shop at the base of the cathedral. Can't do that from a bus.
