Sorrento Area and Tuscany Area
I am having a really hard time deciding on places to stay in the Sorrento and Tuscany Area. Being that this is my first time traveling out of the US. I will be traveling with my husband, sister and mother. We are flying into Naples and will take the train to the Sorrento Area and are looking for an inexpensive, clean place to stay with a kitchen and at least (2) double beds.
Same for Tuscany. We would like to stay at a farmhouse. Something with access to a bus stop so we can get to other towns and such and it must also have a kitchen.
Any Ideas???

I've been collecting info for the same areas and if you put Sorrento into the "search" area on this site you will get lots of recommendations. Do the same for Tuscany. Also, look for trip reports on these areas - tons of great suggestions.

Go to www.sorrentomap.com. You'll find info on apartment rentals in the Sorrento area as well as loads of tourist information (maps, transportation, activities, etc.).

In Tuscany, I'd recommend staying somewhere on the main road between Florence & Siena. We were with a group at a villa in Panzano, close to Greve, about 1/2 between Siena & Florence. Great bus connections out of Greve.
