HI,
Looking for some ideas of somewhere romantic to spend our anniversary. Its a surprise trip away for the wife. Have been looking at places and so far like the look of Tallinn. Any thoughts on this or other places that would be great to go.
Many thanks

You need to give us more info. What's romantic to you? What's your budget? Where are you traveling from? Why did you pick Tallinn, is it somewhere you or she have always wanted to go?
Hi,
Suppose I chose Tallinn just by looking through some pictures of it really, it just seems an amazingly beautiful little place. Flying from the UK. Not really sure what I am looking for, but previous anniversary destinations have been Prague and Edinburgh, so i suppose something of a similar vane really.
Thanks
Without any other info, I can only share what I, personally (as a woman who enjoys travel) would find romantic and fun.
In no particular order:
Venice, Italy
Dubrovnik, Croatia
San Sebastian, Spain
Marrakech, Morocco
Copenhagen, Denmark
Fez, Morocco
Lisbon, Portugal
Florence, Italy
Paris, France
Victoria, Seychelles
Rome, Italy
Buenos Aires, Argentina
Istanbul, Turkey
Hey,
what about French Riviera? on Christmas/New Years season it's really magic, the weather is mild (last Chrismtas it was around 12-15°C), and any woman would be flattered to go to places like Nice, Monaco, Cannes, St. Tropez. It's classy, beautiful and fun.
take a look at the website www.thinkriviera.com, that's exactly what you search for, they'll organise your short get-away from A to Z, with all the romantic details You want and you'll be sure it will be perfect without having to worry too much about it yourself.
Good luck!
For a start you might want to consider ot calling her "the wife". It makes her sound like "the waitress" or "the mai" - rather than your equal life partner. She is YOUR wife - not "the" wife.
And I would start with a conversation with her about where she wants to go - or at a minimum, a discussion of what type of place she is looking for. Does she love cold, wintry weather and short days? If not you might consider someplace else.
