Thanks for the magnificent visual journey, SeaUrchin! Your pictures brought back many wonderful memories of our trips to the Amalfi Coast. I am counting the days until our next trip there in July. Thanks again!

Thanks SeaUrchin!
We were there last June/July. It looks so different without the throngs of people. Bella!

Thanks for the pictures. Just what I needed to perk me up after a long day at work.

May I ask where you stayed? Your apt looks lovely. How did you find it?

We will be there from October 27 to 31 this year, our first time to Amalfi.
Can I expect a similar amount of poeple? We are staying in Priano on the recommendation of Ira. Is that in the picture looking out from Positano?
Great photos!!

SeaUrchin: thanks so much for sharing these wonderful photos of Amalfi Coast. It made me remember sitting in that same cafe on the Piazza Tasso, having some very delicious calamari and sipping a prosecco.

Thanks everyone, it was so much fun taking the pictures, glad you enjoyed them.

I rented Casa Violetta from www.summerinitaly.com They are a really good agency and will use them again (soon I hope), they are based on the Amalfi Coast.

None of these photos show Praiano it is further down the coast, but I will check at home and see if I have some.

I would say my favorite restaurants are Sponda (expensive), Taverna del Leone (moderate), San Giovanni in Pontone (moderate).

Ha, yes I am wearing my Fodorite Black, I have been well trained here. Really though, you were all alot of help with my planning and packing even if I was just reading other people's questions.

For those of you who are going to the Amalfi Coast, just have a wonderful time, it is so beautiful it is easy to take nice pictures!

Thanks again, Sea

Absolutely beautiful pictures! You take the same kind of pictures that I do, so I could imagine myself there!

What kind of camera do you have? I assume it was a digital camera?

How refreshing to see the Amalfi coast without the obligatory masses. I'm taking a watercolor class so my brain is already mixing colors while looking at your photos. So beautiful...

Very appealing photos. Thanks. It was probably good to go in winter, without the crowds.

P.S. Something about some of the Positano views reminds me of Muro Lucano, even though the latter is entirely inland. Someone had told me that the views are similar and I found that hard to believe, but she was really right.

Sea Urchin, were the photos called "Serene Sorrento" taken at the Bellevue Syrene? The furniture and arbor and the view of Vesuvious reminded us of the terrace of the hotel.
