So you want to write for a Travel guide?
I think I could like this job..although the trauma of a pedicure without a martini might ruin my week

I must subscribe to this guide. It sounds like one sure way to identify the places attracting the people I want to avoid; that, and the recommendations of certain other posters here (I nearly typed 'posers').
One of my neighbours is an undercover inspector for a major international hotel chain. Oh, how we tease her about the rigours of life on the road from the XXX in Paris to the YYY in Cape Town, to the ZZZ in Singapore.. And then I think, she's never at home (and when she is, it isn't big enough to swing a cat in, and she looks exhausted).

Patrick, an "undercover inspector" in a hotel ? LOL
It sounds funny but I am sure it must be tiresome work. As much as I love to travel, the actual trip (flights etc) are what do me in!
