Snowing across northern Europe on Easter day

I just thought you'd like to know that the rate of the dollar isn't the only thing to worry about.

Actually, it hasn't snowed in Paris yet, but it is expected to do so before the end of the day.

Quite a few flurries in London this morning (though it hasn't settled, thank goodness):

It's coming down hard in St. Louis MO USA, too, but may unfortunately turn to rain later. There's already serious flooding for a couple of hundred miles south of here.

It looks beautiful now, probably won't cover any eggs hidden outside.

Minneapolis also has Easter snow. We've got a good 8" or so already with more flurries outside. I was just reading that this has been the coldest winter in a long time for much of Europe and North America.

Plus, this is the earliest Easter in more than 90 years - it's usually about 2 weeks later.

It's the earliest Easter date that's possible at all.

In the Vermont hills we have several feet of snow on our land still--got about 6 inches last Wednesday

Re Easter: I believe March 22nd is the earliest possible date. It's the first Sunday after the first full moon after the Vernal Equinox

Well, I awoke to .....

sunshine

AFter warnigs of heavy snow and a white Easter it has been a lovely day here in Holland until about half an hour ago when it snowed a bit. Now the sun is out again. More snow promised, but I don't see it being a major problem here.
I hear the skiing is good in the Ardennes at the moment.

Love your photos, PatrickL. Cherry blossoms already.

I like the Trafalgar current sculpture; wasn't at all crazy about what was there last time I had the privilege.

Oh no! How cold is it? Our children and grandchildren are visiting there now. They went to the Cathedral in Canterbury for Easter services. I do hope they took warm clothes!

Still snowing in Switzerland. It's a wet snow so the roads in the lower elevations are still clear.

It is also snowing here in the north of Spain.

I am on my way to Madrid on the train, and shortly since we left Bilbao it began to snow. The mountains are white and there will be more snow waiting for us in Burgos.

Here in central Italy the weather is cold, windy, rainy...and in some places snow. Photos on www.elegantetruria.com, Hopefully for Pasquetta (Easter Monday, tomorrow) it will let up so we can have the traditional first picnic of the year indoors however with a roaring fire and roast lamb, etc.

Uhhh, yes, dear. Or as a talk radio loving neighbor of ours said on a cool July day a few years back: "This pretty much disproves the global warming theory!"
