SIM phone cards for Europe - can I use my Cdn BlackBerry?

Jump to last reply

We are travelling for 2.5 weeks in Scandinavia and Germany this June, and were wondering if I could just get a pay as you go SIM card for my BlackBerry (I already have a travel kit for plugging in the recharger, and we often use the phone for word games with the kids, directions, looking up info, etc.,) However, we know almost nothing about cell phones - this BlackBerry is our first mobile in a v. long time!

So, I'm interested to know
(a) if I can get a SIM card for my BlackBerry Bold
(b) if we'd be able to use data services as well (or if it's so expensive that we would be best to stick with phone only)
(c) what your recommendations are for a prepaid card -- we'll be in Denmark, Germany, Norway, Sweden (and Finland for a layover).

I figure the best thing is to turn off the "push" so that my work mail doesn't go to my BlackBerry. If it's possible just to

We are staying at a hotel the night before our cruise, so we'd have time to order something now and have the hotel hold onto it.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts
