silvaplana surlej /st moritz ( from Zermatt) in January

Jump to last reply

Hi, I thought I better start a new topic here though it follow on and runs into past Silvaplana topics.

I am travelling to Switzerland in January for a ski trip, very exciting trip with my 15 year old . After a week at Zermatt I thought it would be good to catch the train to St Mortiz and with the 25 Chf a day ski pass It seemed a good opportunity to spend 8 days skiing this area before flying back to the south pacific. Obviously looking for something a little cheaper than St M. and saw that Silvaplana is near the Corvatsch ski lift. Consequently i've booked a room at the Hotel Chesa Surlej next to the cable car. While this will be great once we get there I see now that getting there with public transport will be a bit of a trial... I'm feeling quite good about my bookings but if you think I'm mad to be going from Zermatt to Silvaplana please do let me know your thoughts !
