Siena Wednesday - hotel and restaurant recos welcomed!

We're in Lucca for a month and just got a great deal on a rental car so plan to do a bit of exploring in the next week.

Am crashing through trip reports but wonder if anyone has a suggestion for car friendly accommodation near/in Siena (100E/night) - also restaurant suggestions are welcome. For years I've read about Cacio e Pepe in Siena - still good/recommended?

TIA for any suggestions you may have - day trip suggestions from Lucca also welcome. We have been to Cinque Terre and spent last weekend in Viareggio. Love gardens; don't mind driving as far as 2 hours one way for a day trip.
