Siena Palio apartment for a week?

Jump to last reply

I posted before looking for a one bedroom apartment in Tuscany for a week in September for two of us. My goal was to be close to restaurants with no country driving at night. I'm not sure we've really found anything great so far. But now I find this and I'm really interested:

Right on the Campo in Siena. Top floor with elevator -- but maybe noisy at night? AC and windows closed, probably not. Staying here would mean we could really do without a car (nice for our nerves actually) and take the bus (5 minute walk away) to Florence, San Gimangnano, etc. And the savings from no car would help pay for the apartment (180 euros per night).

Who has stayed IN the city of Siena and what do you think? (Yes, I've been to Siena a couple of times but never stayed there.
