Siena apartment? or multi-room hotel room?
Does anybody have a recommendation for a multi-roomed space in Siena for two nights? We're traveling with two kids and are hoping to be able to enjoy staying up inside when they're napping or asleep early. So far, most of the recommendations in the guidebooks are for single rooms. We're hoping to keep the price per night under $250 (and would of course prefer much lower!) but have a bit of flexibility for someplace special.

If you go to the discount websites and check for 2 room suites you may find what you want - but may well end up sleeping on a sofa in the LR. Or you could reserve two connecting rooms - which would be 2 BR and 2 baths. Not sure how many hotels will be two rooms available for your budget - which is only 90 euros per room - definitely a budget property.
I would suggest an apt - but few will rent for 2 nights.

Also, if I may point out something else in friendly fashion:
If you are thinking of putting small children to bed before 8 or 9pm in summer in Siena, please be aware that it is still light outside and it is also quite noisy outside if you are in the center of town. Everybody else will be outdoors until 11pm or later -- including small children and babies. You might also get a lot of fireworks or amplified music events depending on which days of the week you are there.
The pace of life in summer in Italy is to head indoors during the hottest part of the day (everybody) and then circulate outside when the temps have dropped.
You might still prefer an apartment -- it's a good idea, for feeding the kids breakfast and other meals -- but you might not want to be outside in such a steep place during the hot afternoons or be trying to put your kids to sleep when everybody is partying outside the windows.
