Sicily help

Jump to last reply

We will be in Sicily for 14 days in May 2018. We were thinking of flying into Catania, renting a car, driving down to Ortigia, and spending three days there touring the Syracuse area.

What would be another home base that may not be too crowded in May to do day trips in the Taormina area? Then on to the West coast--again I'm trying to figure out another home base for the Trapani area. Lastly, go to Palermo for a few days then fly out.
It looks like there are some very nice AIRBNB's all over Sicily. We also enjoy a the
luxury of a nice hotel. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
