Sicily beach experts, please

Jump to last reply

Next year, after a 17-day tour of Sicily, I hope to plant myself on a nice little beach and vegetate for 10 days (probably April 29-June 10). I want to do this without a car.

Could be a rental or a small hotel; a market and a couple of restaurants within walking distance would be nice; sand preferred to pebbles, but not a deal-breaker. No wind-surfing/jetskis/parasailing/discotheques.

Can anyone suggest such a place? The kind of place you rush by on the way to the next attraction, and you say, "Someday I'm coming back there and just sit"?

I'm looking at the Hotel Esperia on Tono Beach near Milazzo, for example, and La Terrazo sul Mar near Syracusa.

Thanks for your help.
