Sibiu - anyone noticed the parking situation near the Imparatul Romanilor
We're thinking of staying in the center for the ease of walking around the squares and such in the evenings. We plan on staying a few days, taking day trips, and will retain a car so that we can get out to the Marginimea Sibiului villages. We thought we might go for the Imparatul Romanilor but have no idea how far out parking may be from the hotel.
Ideas?

Sorry: this isn't the answer you were looking for: I've only ever driven in and out of Sibiu and never actually stayed there.
But parking, as I recall, wasn't a particular problem - any more than in any other similar European town. We just parked on the street and walked round.
The rohotels website (http://www.rohotels.ro/hotel.php?id_hotel=83) claims the hotel has parking anyway (the picture shows cars parked outside)
But why not ask the hotel ([email protected]).

flanneruk,
You know, I've found that hotel on a half-dozen booking sites, some of which have said "Parking: N/A" and the rest said nothing. Ah well. Lonely Planet even describes one of the two the streets that it's on as pedestrian-only. I believe that photo says otherwise.
Special thanks for finding that email address. I'd found no contact info for them that wasn't third party. I figure this is all that important, the parking thing, but do plan on running out of town a couple of times, and I think Sibiu was going to be our "nice hotel" of the trip (of what's available). Anyway, thanks again.
