Shuttle to/from CDG - Are there any reliable ones?

I have used Airport Connection Paris twice now without a problem. Both times inbound from CDG I was the only passenger. And on the return I was the last person picked up.

Our experience with Airport Connection was not as good as yours. They picked us up 40 minutes late and when we went to the van there were already 8 passengers in the 8 passenger van. The driver was having a long, heated cell phone conversation with someone, then finally motioned for everyone to slide over and make room for us, which they very kindly did. The 10 of us rode, without seatbelts, through the Arc de Triumph and to the airport. If our flight hadn't been 3 hours late we would have missed it. So, for obvious reasons, I don't recommend them!

Our hotel in Paris has been using the latter.

We used shuttle-inter in October for a private shuttle to and from CDG...it was perfect...we arrived early and I was worried that he wouldn't be there but by the time we got out to the arrival area he was there holding a sign with our names on it. We left Paris very early...6:00am and he was right on time...very polite and helpful.. I had used BluVan in the pass and they were late both in coming and going...although that was for a shared shuttle. Here's the site for shuttle-inter...

We just returned from Paris 11/19-11/22 and used Bee Shuttle. I did read some bad reviews, but I have to say nothing but good things about them. They were pefectly on time and were pleasant. Just make sure you get the meeting point right - sometimes you could be waiting upstair at departures by mistake when they pick you up downstairs at arrivals. We arrived at terminal 2F and the pickup point was downstairs at door 8 (sort of an "L" shape area). It didn't look like much of a pickup area, but after asking someone, they told us that was where they pickup and sure enough they rolled up a few minutes later. With the transit strike going on, we felt lucky to have used them without any problems.

We used www.parisairportservice.com with success and very reasonable prices for their private van service. I think they called it the VIP service.

Using the Air France bus is not out of the question, we used it from and to CDG without problems.

Here is my take. When leaving Paris, I don't want to miss my plane, so I don't want to worry, waiting outside my hotel/apt that my shuttle will show up.I did use shuttle once,and it worked out, but I found I was checking my watch a lot.

So...I either use Air France bus, Roissybus, or, most often, the RER. That way I am in control. I'm always leaving early morning, so traffic going to CDG has not been an issue for the AF and RB, and of course the RER is...perfect. Yes, if you have lots of luggage I could see lugging it around to get to Metro could be an issue. You could taxi to Gare du Nord/St Michel/Montparnasse.

This summer we used Yellow Van for our return from our hotel in Paris to CDG. They were great. They called when they were about 5 minutes away to give us a heads up, the driver was great with our luggage, very professional yet friendly, the van was well kept, and they delivered us to the correct area of the airport. Truly could not have asked for a better experience.

We did take a taxi from CDG to our hotel when we arrived. But the shuttle was great for the way back. Our hotel arranged it the evening before.

Do you really need a shuttle? The Roissy bus takes you from CDG to several locations in Paris-very reasonable and runs frequently.

kerrygirl, I believe the Roissy bus has only one stop by the Opera Garnier. It was reasonable at 8.50E
(in April).

Yes, Roissybus goes *only* to rue Scribe.

Air France coaches goes to:
- Porte Maillot + Arc de T.
- Gare de Lyon + Gare Montparnasse

The various shuttle companies take you to your hotel.

I've used Airport Connection twice with good results.

Our experience with Airport Connection in May was terrible. We waited for them for an hour and a half at CDG, making five calls for updates. The people waiting for Paris-shuttle only had to wait 45 minutes!

The return was better. They were at our flat only 20 minutes and one phone call late.

I would use the RER although stuff can happen on it too. I was on my way to the airport once and it stopped on the tracks for quite a while. Then it finally pulled into a station and the doors opened, but everyone had to exit.

I had to go to street level and get a taxi the rest of the way. When I got to the airport and the airline worker asked the security questions...one of the questions was..."How did you get to the airport?". I answered, "By taxi". She said, "Good answer because if you had said the RER, I would have been suspect since it's not running." I just laughed. Happy Travels!
