I'll be buying three point to point tickets for travel in Switzerland next month. I've checked the various passes and it will be cheaper for me to buy the tickets individually. I found a website called Eurail.net. Should I buy my tickets, and make reservations, through them, or would it be cheaper to buy my tickets at the Swiss rail stations. If there isn't much of a difference, in price, then I think I'd like to take care of my tickets in advance. Thanks.
Should I buy tickets for Swiss trains here in US?

I never bought a Swiss train ticket here. No reason to. Just walk up to the window, tell the agent what you want, put down your money, take your ticket and go get on the train when it arrives, if not there already.
No big deal.
If you are antsy, go check out Swiss train prices on the Swiss national rail web site.
www.sbb.ch
It comes in 4 languages, and prices within Switzerland are readily available, both one way and round trip.
But I don't know of any reason not to buy tickets in Switzerland, except perhaps for a train out of a major city on a Friday afternoon.
You can order your tickets over the Swiss web site, and collect them in Switzerland for cash.
Although I am not experienced in Swiss rail travel - - and I am defintely NOt a fan of rail passes, you might want to take a look at the website www.railsaver.com - - there are some specialized Swiss rail passes that get recommended as money savers when an itinerary has extensive train travel in Switzerland.
but otherwise, bob Brown is exactly right. Buying individual ("point-to-point") tickets from the US (from www.raileurope.com for example) is a good way to pay 30-70% more.
Best wishes,
Rex
