Shopping on Kensington High St? (Need a special outfit ;-) )

Jump to last reply

Leaving next week for a 'quick' UK visit. We (25yr old dd, dh & I) will have 4 full days in London to SHOP (not dh). Both our daughters are getting married next year, so I'll be looking for two formal outfits. I love shopping Oxford & Regent st's and the area around Harrods but my other dd who lived in London for two years has suggested I head to Kensington.

I've been trying to research what special boutiques are there without much success. I see that most of the regular High st. stores are there, I'm just trying to find something a bit special. Love to hear your thoughts........oh yeah, I'm 50, 5' nothing, size 10/12, I'm looking for classic modern, age appropriate but certainly not dowdy or matronly. ;-)

I know its not 'technically' a travel question but what the heck, its worth a try.
