Sorry, didn't mean to step on anybody's toes. It was an attempt to top with a bit of humor, which obviously fell flat. Guess this just isn't one of my "funny" days. Sorry again! But I'll quit topping this way since it obviously is not everybody's "cuppa". I'm not here to make enemies or to raise anybody's ire.

I guess my question is why I worry about somebody's feelings if they can't identify themselves, even with a nickname?

But, nobody's answered Mark's question yet! Topping for Mark.

Actually, Linda's ususal response is that there have been several threads discussing that same topic, and have they tried using the search engine. I have never had any success using the search engine...just found out today that there is a guard on our computer at work, so I will never be able to use the search function. Sorry, Linda and others, I may have posted repetitive questions, but I truly tried your recommendation.

Mark, will you be in Capri only?

bdc, thank you for the education. I was not aware that the ability to use the search function was not universal.

Having said that, I just tried to use the search function to find out how many times I really do recommend doing a search. After about 3 minutes it came back and told me I had responded to a total of 3 posts!!!!--in the six months I've been coming here. LOL (For what it's worth, in none of them did I suggest doing a search.) Guess I'm another victim of the non-useful search function.

I know that I occasionally do recommend doing a search; however it is usually to a question that has been answered many, many times before, and one where there are far too many responses to summarize. Usually it's been done far better than I could ever do--and a search would give the requester a better (or fuller) answer. However, if I feel I have something valid to add, I will usually add it. I really don't feel that I *usually* suggest a search. But, since you've pointed this out, I'll make sure I use this suggestion less in the future. Sometimes having others point out your failings is a good way to learn, so thank you.

Ahhh! No, Linda , I did not explain correctly. You are being helpful, recognizing search functions, but some computers are not compatible (work restrictions). This is not a failing on your character at all, you are trying to help! I apologize that I did not convey this correctly. I am sorry that I did not know my work limitations and therefore posted (probably Amalfi/Rome, etc transportation) that irritated others. Your insight is quite appreciated!

Well, now, Mark, see what you have wrought by asking a simple question?

I can't answer your question, but I would intuit that it may be a little more expensive to buy the watch on Capri than in another place such as Rome or Naples. Capri would probably have higher prices because it caters to tourists. Also, you will be paying an automatic 20 percent IVA (like VAT), but you can get that refunded.

But it would be a wonderful, romantic gesture. So, look around when you get there; I am sure you can find something.
