Seville/Madrid/Barcelona or Berlin/Krakow/Warsaw
Seville/Madrid/Barcelona or Berlin/Krakow/Warsaw
As you can see I am considering two very different trips.
My husband has never been to Spain and thought it might be fun to show him a few of my favorite places and fit in a day or so at the beach in Barcelona. I, on the other hand, have always been fascinated with the history in Berlin/Warsaw/Krakow and right now, flights work out to be about the same.
We like to putz around checking things out at our leisure, have nice dinners and a few drinks. People watching is a favorite of mine, too.
Looking at a last minute trip at the end of May.
Which would you choose?
Thanks in advance.

SPAIN! I have traveled extensively through Eastern Europe (though never Poland I admit) and Berlin does have a wealth of historical sites and it is a very "hot" destination right now, but I visited Spain for the first time in January and I fell in love! The people watching is some of the best in Europe! The food and drink and landscapes are so magical. I love traveling in Eastern Europe, but I certainly didn't feel that same magic in Berlin! Just my own personal opinion though!

Um, p*tz is a rude term with a specific meaning in Yiddish.
Better yet, Berlin (if you must go to Germany)-Gdansk-Krakow. And you can have your beach day at Sopot outside Gdansk. You like history, Gdansk has a ton. And nearby Malbork Castle is moderately huge.

I'm crazy about Berlin. Loved Krakow and have never been to Warsaw. I have also visited the Spanish cities several times. These are two very, very nice interesting trips that can't be compared.. Both will be lovely.
For me, I would probably base my deciding factor if there were a ballet, opera or museum exhibit I wanted to see at one of the cities. Maybe you can help yourself decide by visiting the home pages of those cities and seeing what's on while you are there?
