Seville/Cordoba

I will be in Seville for 2 days and 2 nights in May. Would like to see the Meszuita in Cordoba. Is is worth the trip there by train for a few hours?

The issue is you just don't have time. If you only have 2 nights in Sevilla this probably equates to just 1.5 days. Your stay is able two days too short to include a daytrip to Cordoba. It's too bad you can't find another couple of days and add in Cordoba. But you'll be rushing Sevilla as it is already.

I agree with CathyM.... event with 3-4 days I wouldn't say it's not worth the trip. The Mesquita is interesting but we were happy we visited en route to another city, rather than staying more than a few hours. Enjoy Sevilla for the short time you have there - it's one of my favorite cities to visit on the planet (we spent 4 or 5 days there and that was just enough). Stay in the Santa Cruz barrio to be close to sites and great restaurants & hangouts.

I can only agree. You will have more than enough to keep you very busy in Sevilla. We also consider it a favorite.

Thank you for your responses. Unfortunately, I can't squeeze another day in Seville.

I stayed in Seville for 3 nights and just scratched the surface. You will have enough to do in Seville. While it wasn't my favorite city-Granada took that spot-the Santa Cruz/Old Town area was perfect and I still miss all the pastelerias(pastry shops) in town as well as the cafe con leche(which I still haven't found a substitute in the US). The cathedral, alcanzar and bullring all all worth a visit.
