Seville to Granada in 5 days

How would you spend 5 days en route from Sevilla to Granada? Going in Sept with DH, (I guess that means dear hubby!). Should we rent a car? Thinking of Ronda &Nerja. Not sure about driving the mountain roads--not a problem, but is it the most interesting way?

Thanks, everyone! You all give fantastic advice.

It will all depend on what you are interested in seeing and doing with your five days. I don't want to seem harsh, but the distance is not that great and there are at least a dozen different routs you could take. And yes, you could do both Ronda and Nerja.

Thanks Robert! We were planning to rent a car in Sevilla and drive to the White Towns en route to Ronda. But we are looking for other ideas from people who have been there. Is it still hot in late Sept on the beaches?

My wife and I did this trip several years ago and had no problem driving the mountain roads. Both Nerja and Ronda were two of our favorite place, you can divide your time between the two and still enjoy each. The parking in both places is tight but I would still take the car and then turn it in when I got to Granada and take the train back from there. Enjoy!

Given the time you have, consider visiting Sanlucar de Barrameda and its suburb, Bonanza, for the daily unloading of the catch from the fishing boats. Google "bonanza - a hidden treasure". It is truly amazing. Fantastic seafood and an interesting town. You could go Sevilla, Sanlucar, Jerez, Arcos, Grazelema and Ronda and then drop down to Nerja. .
