Seville, Spain in December and January
Seriously thinking of spending 2 months in Spain using Seville as a base. Has anyone been there during this time? I believe January is around 55-60 degrees and little or no rain. February is a bit warmer and not sure about rain. Is it sunny most of the time? It's the low season and we hope tourism is down, any thoughts? Thanks in advance for your help.

I was there around New Year's 2004 and it was great. It was cool but pleasant and sunny during the day. Nights were warmer than most parts of the US. I'm a Southern gal so if I can handle it, most anyone can. And yes, it will be less crowded and less expensive than visiting in the summer.
IMO the best thing about being there at that time of year is the roasted chestnuts. Can't get enough of those.

Through December you should look out for villancicos (flamenco inspired Christmas songs) on the streets of Sevilla: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ltDBAXXnqI
