Seville : Hotel Alfonso

I'm a huge fan of moorish architecture and really want to stay at the Hotel Alfonso in Seville this April.

Problem is, I'm having a hard time finding travel websites that can give me any kind of discount. the hotel website offers a base room rate of 400 euros+ per night which is a bit insane...

Has anyone had any luck finding a better rate and where?

Thanks!

I would just go have lunch there and stay somewhere else. We loved Dona Maria for it's location.

And I want to add that I too wanted to stay there. It looked gorgeous! But like many older hotels it didn't quite live up to its website photos and I was very happy with out choice and the money we saved.

Okay, me again! Try the tripadvisor.com website search engine. It searches all the major engines and seems to do the best job of finding that one discount rate in the rough.

hahaha.. thank you for your honesty. how would you describe dona maria? we are looking for a luxurious stay, dont mind paying for it but not 400+ euros per night!

It was years ago.. but we had lunch there as someone suggested above... Got a little bit of the experience. We had a lovely stay at the parador just outside Seville.

Dona Maria is lovely, but I wouldn't catagorize it as luxury. It is just across the street from the cathedral, so we felt like we actually lived in Seville for a few days. We didn't touch the car and just hung out. It was lovely.

Possibly this will be cheaper than what you mentioned.
