Sergiev Posad: doable by myself or should I book a tour?

Jump to last reply

I'm thinking of visiting Sergiev Posad while in Moscow this summer but wonder if it's doable on my own (can I take a train there?) or if I should book a tour. Are there other "outside of Moscow" day trips that you'd recommend?

Any advice? Thanks!
