Sept at Stubai glacier
We will be traveling to Munich for Oktoberfest, and want to rail to Murnau, rent a car, and drive to the Stubai glacier area of Austria for two days. Any suggestions for accomadations in that area?

Hotel? Hut? Private room?
Take a look at www.stubai.at which will lead you to an English survey of accomodations.

If you are looking for luxury try the Jagdhof in Neustift in the Stubai Valley. They should still be running a shuttle bus to the glacier, have the best food and accomodations in the area. They also have very nice pool and fitness facilities- after Oktoberfest, you may need them.

Both have sites in english

Servus Molker,
what a nice surprise that you seem to have missed me!
Yes, I have been away from Fodors for quite a while. In June, we spent 2 weeks in the English countryside which were fabulous. Since our return we had a hard time moving - just from one district in Vienna to the other, but it turned out to be a nightmare because the apartment was still a construction site... We have had craftsmen in the house for weeks! But now I am a very experienced buildig site manager - call me if you need one
Have a nice summer, Molker!
