Seine River Cruise

We are booked on our first riverboat cruise--Viking's Seine from LeHavre to Paris in October. Has anyone been on this one, and what suggestions can you make? Thanks!

Thanks! Very informative. I think they were there at a different time of year, though. Wonder what the weather will be like in October?

I'm preparing for the mid-50's in temps. Hopefully, not much rain!

We did Peter Deilmann's cruise from Rouen to Paris a few years ago.. in October. (And tied up beside theViking boat on occasion.) As I recall weather was good... we have wonderful memories of that trip.

I took that cruise in an October and it was dreeeeary and cold and rainy. The ship got all musty smelling and it was very unenjoyable. From Paris south was a wonderful time. Hopefully you will have good weather, but who can tell?

Loved Deilmann!! I think part of our enjoyment was that there were only three English speakers aboard and we essentially had a private tour guide each day. (There was a US university group, but they went their own way.)
The third person in our group was very compatible and we had a grand time together. Food was excellent, service ditto, and the itinerary perfect for our aging bodies -

I had read reviews of Peter Deilmann cruises, which said most of the people were Germans, but I never thought that could be a benefit, as you found out with your small group tours for English-speaking guests. My husband and I have "aging bodies" also, so I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it so much. Thanks!
