Scuba diving in Italy

My husband and I are going to be in Italy this fall, Sept 16 - Oct 17 and are wondering what dive spots people would recommend. We are definitely beginner divers and are in fact still getting certified. We will have 5 or 6 open dives logged by the time we get there.

We are spending a week in Tuscany and another week in Puglia so dive spots in these areas would be best.
