Scotland tour

Jump to last reply

Arriving in Edinburgh in two weeks for an 11 day visit to Scotland to see son and travel through Scotland. We fly into Glasgow and head to Edinburgh for three nights.
Planning to rent a car on day four to drive around country. We are planning 7 days on the road. I want to end up Glasgow. We like to spend a few days at a place and visit area sites rather than a new place every night. I would like to see Skye, Inverness area, some of central Scotland, and Culloden Moor...maybe Perth and hit a few castles and distilleries.
Traveling with two history buffs, and I am looking to track down some McDonald family history. Oh and food is kind of important too. I have been getting lots of suggestions from friends. Love to hear more.
