Scotland photos
I returned from Scotland Friday, and I have been putting together my photos. Next step, writing the trip report. In the meantime, here's a link to the photos:

Wow! You got to see the Tattoo. We did too and loved it.
Love your pictures of the fishing village in Crail. Kinda reminds me of the setting for the tv show Doc Martin.
Very lovely! Hope you had a great time.

Nice pics.
Some seem overexposed a bit.
You got some good action shots at the Highland games.
Weird that Glenfidditch let you take pics of their still. Blair Athol wouldn't let me take one of theirs.

Looks like a great trip! Our photos of Scotland are from in the winter and everything was covered in snow. My best one was of DS at Castle Fraser, so it is nice yo see your photos of what it looks like during the summer.

"Some seem overexposed a bit."
And here I was afraid I had posted some that were too dark.
I have toured three distilleries. Ardbeg had no problem with photos anywhere. Glenfiddich let you take pictures everywhere except on the floor in one room. Talisker didn't want any pictures at all. Said they were afraid of spontaneous combustion.
Nanabee, I can't say I loved the Tattoo, but I'm glad I went. I'll have more about my impressions in my trip report.

Nikki--they were slightly dark on my computer, also.
Perhaps the other poster's computer monitor is set to a higher brightness level.
Since I am a member of shutterfly(free membership) I was able to download 5-6 of the photos to save as computer wallpaper. And adjust the brightness level so they appear brighter on MY computer. Just lovely..really loved your photos
Thanks, I really enjoy them....and now will have to look up some of the places, since there were quite a few I am not familiar with...even though I am a frequent visitor to Scotland. And it was wonderful to see St. Andrews and Edinburgh with the sun shining,.... again, in spite of frequent visits, something I am not familiar with!!

Great photos! I thought sparkchaser meant "overexposed" in relation to the shots from the Games. I really enjoyed these and can't wait to read the trip report. Please post it soon. It seems that I will be going to many of the same places in June 2014.

Yes, we were very lucky with the weather. It mostly rained when we were inside restaurants or overnight, and cleared whenever we planned to be outdoors.
Thankfully the shots from the games revealed only that those guys wear shorts under their kilts.

Wonderful shots, Nikki, thank you! Ruggedly beautiful scenery. What looked like a jellyfish in Cruden Bay looked like it would hurt!
Some of the shots were light on my screen, which I calibrated via my printer's directions, but beautiful nonetheless!

There were lots of jellyfish of different sizes and colors, more than I have seen anywhere else. We did not test to see which if any were the stinging kind. I will defer to local knowledge and experience.
