Scotland Itinerary

Jump to last reply

Hubby, toddler and I will be in Scotland for 6 days early July. We are planning on renting a car and exploring.

Are the hebride ferries convenient and the beauty worth it with a toddler? Should we skip that portion and instead just focus on exploring through driving?

Would appreciate any other suggestions or tips. Also, is it better to arrive in Glasgow and loop around and return from Edinburgh? or is Glasgow miss'able and should we just enter and depart from Edinburgh?

Day 1: Arrive in Glasglow early afternoon
Day 2: Oban & hebrides (mull / iona)
Day 3: Glencoe / Loch ness/ Inverness
Day 4: Edinburgh
Day 5: Edinburgh
Day 6: Edinburgh (depart day 7 morning)

Thanks in advance for your recommendations and feedback!
