Schengen Visa Limits
Hi, we have already booked tickets for a 97 day trip in Europe, in the Schengen countries. I just found out that you can only stay for 90 days. We arrive in Europe at the Paris Nord train station (arriving from London) and depart Europe 97 days later out of the Amsterdam Airport. Is it likely we'll get in trouble for being in Europe for 97 days rather than 90? Thanks!

Quite likely, yes.
Can you spend a week in England, or Turkey. for instance? You don't state your itinerary, but I'm sure you must be able to go to one of the non-Schengen countries for a week-10 days? It would then be fine to re-enter, as long as the total time is up to 90 days in any 180 day period.

I was going to say the same thing. I think if you went to a non-Schengen country for a week and then came back to Schengen you should be fine but this is not my area of expertise. Perhaps a more knowledgeable poster on such issues could support or refute my assumption.
