We sent off a request for a Scavi Tour in March. We got back an e-mail that gave us a date and said that we would be getting an additional e-mail to confirm and pay. Hoever, at the top of the e-mail there was a portion that said that they were havning a problem with our e-mail address and to send another e-mail to communicate with them. We went into our e-mail and changed to microsoft from incredimail and thought that would take care of the problem.
We sent another e-mail last night and told them that we wanted to confirm the dates and that our e-mail should be working correctly. I got the same e-mail reply back this morning saying there is something wrong with oue e-mail. I am getting all of the e-mail from hotels in Rome and Sicily with no problem. Has anyone else had problems with the e-mail system. should I just call? I am not sure what to do. Any help would be appreciated.

We sent an email about a week or so ago and had no problems. We got an email response of reception to a hotmail account and then the confirmation email a day or so later. I am so excited to go and I am sure you are as anxious as I was. Good Luck!
I always use gmail when booking things in Europe (including the Scavi tour multiple times) and never had a problem with gmail.
I just sent another e-mail using my work e-mail. Hopefully this will go through. I have it going to my Iphone so I'll know if I get an answer. It says something on there about getting a confirmation within 15 days so I thought i might not be waiting long enough. I used this e-mail to book a Scavi Tour last year with no problems. Unfortunately we had to cancel as my husband had to have surgery. I was really surprised we have had any issues.
I also booked with my Gmail account with no problems...calling may help. My understanding of the process is that it is not really reserved until you pay, which I see is not your fault, but I am worried you may not have a reservation now. I will see if I still have any of my emails from the Scavi office and post back, if I do. I hope you can work it out!
It says on the e=mail that you have 15 days to confirm and pay. I am not really sure waht is wrong with the e-mail address. It is our same address we have had for 10 years and 1 other trip to Italy. I have been e-mailing little towns in Sicily with no problem.
