Scavi Tour

I have just completed a Scavi Tour booking for my trip in January, and just want to share with you how it went.
I emailed the Scavi office with details of availble dates, name, number and preferred language, and received an offer after two days by email. It says if I want to confirm it, wait for another email with two codes, which arrived 24 hours later. I clicked on the link, which opened a browser window (all in Italian but easy to make out) and entered the two codes plus CAPTCHA (letters and figures). It transfered me to another page for payment by credit/debit card - Amex, Visa, MC or Maestro on a secure site. On entering card details, a confirmation page appeared, and shortly after, a bilingual email with reservation details and instruction on how to join the tour. The price is going up from 12 to 13 euro in January.

thanks for posting this Alec.

I'm sure it'll be very useful for others going to Rome.

could you post the link to the Scavi office e-mail details?

Just to add I've received yet another email from Scavi Office with booking and tour details, with a suggestion I should print it out and show it in order to gain access to the secure area where the office is located.
