My nephew and his buddy, 20 year old college students, will be visting Greece in mid August (!). Santorini/Mykonos a fabulous of course, but I am a bit worried about the cost for a young person...What do you all think of Skiathos as an alernative? How many days do you think? A week too long? Maybe five days in Skiathos and a couple in Skopelos?
Any other suggestions?
Thanks!
Santorini/Mykonos or Skiathos for college kids in August

Hi Bati - I can't compare with Mykonos as I've never been, but I spent a relaxing fortnight in Skiathos and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Great beaches at Koukounaries and nearby.
But maybe relaxation isn't what they want ...
