Santorini question - what to do with luggage?
Right now I have a reservation in Oia (going in May). I leave Santorini at 0:50 on an overnight ferry for Rhodes. What do I do with my luggage between check-out time and 0:50? I will want to move to Fira at some point during the day/evening, and I hope I don't need to drag my suitcase around with me until it's time to go down to the ferry. Is there somewhere in Fira that will hold it for me (for a price, of course)? Or should I stay in Fira to avoid this problem?

There is a place to store luggage next to the Pelican Hotel as far as I know but your departure time may be a problem as they may have closing hours..Email your Oia accom. and ask them if they can help you out with this. Google luggage storage on Santorini and you amy come up with an answer!

Unless they've discontinued the practice, Pelican Travel in Fira offers a "left luggage" service. You can contact them to verify. http://www.pelican.gr/contact
If they don't offer it anymore you should probably just spend your last night in Fira and leave your luggage at your hotel until it's time to go to the port.
A friendly and cheap hotel is Villa Fotini.

A common problem for many travellers who have to check out of a hotel at noon and have a flight/ferry in the late evening.
If brotherleelove's suggestion of the travel agency doesn't work out, just ask anywhere if you can leave your bag. If you head to Fira for lunch time, you could for example ask at a restaurant whether you could leave your bag, return for dinner (a promise of future business for them)and then take your bag and head to a bar near the dock after dinner. Dinner at 9pm say and then stroll to a bar.
It's only a problem if you can't be a bit creative in your thinking. In places like the Greek Islands, people are used to people asking to leave a bag for the day. Ordinarily, I would suggest asking in the bar you had a drink in last night and would have your last drink in on your departure day before leaving. But you're moving from Oia to Fira so that doesn't work out.
What I find more difficult is having to spend the day in the clothes you will travel in late that night. Whenever I see people sitting in a bar/restaurant all afternoon and evening with their bags beside them I always wonder why they didn't just pay for another day at a hotel and have the convenience of coming and going till they are ready to leave. They can't go to the beach, relax, enjoy a meal, head back to take a shower, pack and get ready to go when it's time to go. Basically, most of them pretty much lose that last day.

Bigger hotels in Greece are aware of this problem and would let you deposit your luggage in a safe room, plus they would provide a room for changing clothes and taking a shower.
This won't happen in Oia or generally in Santorini though....
Due to the fact that the island receives so many visitors each year it is very unlikely that a restaurant or a bar will allow you to leave your luggage, since they are being asked the same favour many times each day...
Why don't you go ahead and book a really cheap room in Fira for the last night, so that you rest and refresh till late at night, before your transfer to the port?
