Hello,

Have 2 days to get from San Sebastian to Barcelona in a car in July. Anyone have any suggestions for towns to either visit or stay in along the way?? Thanks!

We drove on the French side near the Pyrenees. One night en route, don't remember where as it was without reservations, then a few days in lovely , Collioure,France and Aigueblava,Spain, both on the Mediterranean.

I'd take the N-121A from Irun through the beautiful Baztan Valley to Pamplona. From Pamplona you head east along the N-240 past Jaca, picking up the N-260 to the Tena Valley in the Aragonese Pyrenees, where you can spend the night. The Hotel El Privilegio (elprivilegio.com/) is located in Tramacastilla de Tena and makes a perfect place to stop for the night.

The next day, in you have enough time, you can follow the N-260 to la Seu d'Urgell before heading down to Barcelona.

I have the same question, just opposite direction! We are driving from Barcelona to San Sebastian and would like to get input on the driving itinerary.

Is reverse itinerary a good idea?
