Salepi Stands in Athens

Would anyone know where there are regular stands in Athens that sell Salepi? I was told that there was one in Syntagma Square but it only opens late at night.

Thanks...bdj

I saw some during the day along Ermou Street, but look out anywhere between Syntagma & Monastiraki. There was one by Kapnikarea church, but in a different location the next day.

BTW, when are you going to be there? You will struggle to find any salepi stands in summer, it's a winter drink.

There are no salepi stands in Athens....
If you are lucky enough to find it, it will be a man walking around, selling salepi.
This used to be common in the 50s and 60s and extremely rare now.
You have more chances to find it around Omonia Square.
But do not waste your valuable time searching for that....

Thanks clausar. My understanding is that Omonia Square is best avoided, particularly at night.

Omonia Square during the day is a very busy place and an important traffic hub for most Athenians.

At night it is not dangerous but not a nice place to be either.
In the last 5 months there have been extended police controls there which made the whole area much safer compared to the past.
