Note from senior traveler:

We were in Salamanca for study of mysticism years ago. It is a city with much old world charm for sure. Yes, there is a well known Spanish langauge program at the University of Salamanca and lots of students. They will be learning of course pure Castilian dialect. Your daughter will likely stay up late as do all Spaniards, old and especially young and be eating supper god-knows-when and afternoon tapas as well.

Thank you all for this encouraging information. I'm thinking that I should go also! Maybe I'll learn how to spell university, or universidad.

Be sure to read the sign over the entrance to the library at the University.
