Sail Amsterdam

Once every five years Amsterdam hosts Sail. It started yesterday with the sail in of tall ships, small ships, navy ships. It ends ends every evening with a firework display.
It is an amazing event to experience, either viewing the sail in or visiting teh ships in Amsterdam. Lots of events go on around it.

Here is a report from the BBC about it http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-33995082

Here is a site (in Dutch) with the major ships taking part http://sail2015inbeeld.webflow.io/schepen.
The Bruinvisch from Harlingen moors two berths down from my son's ship normally. My son took part 10 years ago.

It's on until the 23rd should anyone be in the area ;).
