Sagrada Familia Ticket Choices
So we want to visit and tour Familia Segrada. The ticket choices are a bit overwhelming. For those of you who have been there, what would be the best ticket: Church with towers? Church with towers and audio guide? Church with towers and guide (don't know how large the group would be on the tour since they sell about 250 tickets per time frame)? Just Church? or Just church with Audio guide/guide?
We are very self sufficient travelers and would only want a guide if it were in a small group, we are okay with audio guides yadda yadda.
Please offer an opinion if you are familiar with the above tour options. Also, how long should we expect to tour here? Any opinion on what time of day to do the tour -- early morning, noon, afternoon? Thanks!

We took the English tour last May, prebooked before we left home; our group was probably 25-30 people, I would guess. They give you headsets, so unless you're very hard of hearing, that wouldn't be a problem. We didn't do the towers so I can't comment on any of those options.
We booked a 12:00 entrance time with a 12:30 tour; I'd estimate from memory that we were done by 2pm or so. You could be done faster if you want, though - I wanted to stay as long as I could!

Maybe 20?? We find that guides really add a lot to these kinds of visits; we prefer them to audio guide usually.
The tower-- we went up in an elevator with 6-8 others. Once you get up there, you can linger a bit; you go down at your own pace. There are a spot or 2 where you can go outside. There are opening all around as you descend so you can see you at the other parts of building as well as views of city.
The stairs are sort of like Statue of Liberty in that they are circular but a bit wider. We did the Nativty Tower.

Thanks DebitNM. That's helpful. The openings on the way down definitely make it easier for a claustrophobe like me, I suspect I can handle it.
Now whether mom can handle those steps is another question..

We went to the Parc but didn't go in the house mueseum. It had a line and we didn't want to waste time waiting. We did walk around the park and it was quite nice. We took the regular public bus to get there and back and it did take a bit of time. If you are pressed for time, IMHO, I think you could a pass on it.

We also went to the Parc but not the house museum. By that point we'd already seen Palau Guell, Casa Batllo, la Sagrada Familia and the rest of the Parc, so we were all set, and I don't feel like we missed anything. With only a few days I'm guessing you'll have other priorities.

I've just been to the website.
The audio-guide tour also includes a visit to the Gaudi museum and school. (the live guide tour costs the same but does not include the museum and school).
Does anyone know if the museum and school have a timed entry, like the Basilica and the Towers do?
Thanks.

At least when I was there in May, there were no separate entries for either the museum or the school -- they can be visited by anyone once you've been admitted to the church itself. And BTW, my guide took us through the museum, too -- I suspect the guides vary their routes depending on the time, crowds, etc., but I could be wrong about that. Enjoy!

kja,
I thought the museum and school referred to on the website was over in the Parc Guell (sort of a combined ticket) but the park is about a mile away from the Sagrada Familia.
Is there a museum and school on the SF grounds?
