Would it be safe to go to istanbul on june 7 for 3 days .I was just wondering about the elections on June 7 ??

Your only problem should be the ban on sale and service of alcoholic drinks on election day.

if you buy the alcohol one day earlier and put them into your mini bar, that problem will be sold as well

We were planning on landing June 8 and staying for 3 days before we fly to athens .If there are demonstrations will the sites be closed ?

Desigirl, What you ask is like my asking if there will be demonstrations in New York or Paris or Berlin which will affect the sites I will visit when I visit those cities.

Why should there be demonstrations? on those days? and what relation could political or human rights demonstrations have with historic or cultural sites?
