Safe and Desirable Locations in London and Beyond

Hello,

I am exploring the world of house/pet sitting. I would like to go to London.
Can you tell me which areas of London are the safest/nicest? Any towns outside of London that you could suggest would be helpful as well.

Things I am considering are:

Safety
Proximity to public transport
Proximity to restaurants, shopping
Ambiance
Noise - prefer quiet

If you live in the UK or have traveled extensively there, I would really appreciate your input.

Thank you in advance!

Hi picture_girl.

London is not really laid out in such a precise manner, there are some relatively down and out places right beside very nice areas.

Most places in zone 1-2 on the tube map are going to be fine. Are you going to be renting? I'm not sure by your post if you are trying to house sit in these areas or will be renting...if renting give us a budgte and what you require and we can help you out.

Also, check out www.livinginlondon.org for a description of the areas.
