Safari Parks: Longleat vs. Woburn Abbey
Can anyone give me a comparison of these two safari parks? Which is better.
I'm helping friends with their UK itinerary in July with kids ages 10 and 12 in July.
In 1999, we took our kids for a day at Longleat House and Safari Park and loved it. Is this place still worth visiting? Later, in 2002, I visited Woburn Abbey without kids (in February). Noticed they too have a Safari Park but didn't see that.
I thought the home more interesting at Woburn.

It's years since I've been to Longleat, but have led groups of children about your friend's children's ages to Woburn Safari Park many times since then. Apart from the drive through the lions and monkeys enclosures, they enjoyed walking through the sections with wallabies and squirrel monkeys, and the Ark, which is a large indoor play area with slides, etc.
I honesly couldn't say which is better between the two. You may want to look at their websites to help decide:

Longleat is definately worth a visit.
However you may want to decide on which park to go to based on where else your friends will visiting during their stay.
Woburn is just up the M1 from London whereas Longleat is quite a long drive South from Swindon. If your friends are arriving initially in London then you may want to consider where each park is in relation to where else they will be visiting before and afterwards.
