Ruta del Cares, which end to sleep at Caín or Las Arenas de Cabrales

Hi all, just wondering which is the better end for an overnight to do the Ruta del Cares in Asturias in early May (low season).

Caín is right at the trail head on the Castile y León side (and is closer to León) but looks much smaller.

Las Arenas de Cabrales is significantly larger, but requires a taxi ride of unknown cost to the trail head, and looks to take an additional hour of travel time coming from León.

Anyone have any direct experience either way, but especially with Caín?

Anyone know what the taxi costs from Las Arenas to Poncebos?
