I am finally heading to Barcelona June 26th. I thought it would not be tough to get from Barcelona to Aix en Provence to visit my friend and then head on down to Nice for a few days. I am still watching my money. I have looked all over the forum. I do not see any recent entry for bus or train recommendations. It does not look like an easy thing to do. Any suggestions?

Vueling flies from Barcelona to Marseilles. You could then take a train to Aix.

From the Marseilles airport, there is a bus line that travels to Aix.

Nice in July is not a good place to visit if you are on a tight budget. In fact anywhere on the Côte d´Azur is just as bad.
