Ronda: the Hotel Enfrente Arte or the Hotel San Gabriel?

I stayed at the Hotel San Gabriel at the end of last September. Loved every minute of it! It was my favorite of all we stayed at in Spain, actually.
I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have. But I felt very comfortable here. It was more like staying in some one's home than a hotel - and I am NOT a comfortable houseguest, normally! The small patio is a relaxing respite in the late afternoon, the billiards table can be an interesting way to spend the evening (there are also other games availble), and the "cinema room" is even fun.
Our room had large windows that overlooked the street, providing lots of light. We had a regular double, so not overly large, but not too small, either. And very quiet.
One of the best things is the staff, though. Very helpful, very considerate. Prompt with emails, good with directions, helpful with suggestions on what to see/do. They take pride in the place.
Also, if anyone is driving here, I would strongly recommend reserving parking with the hotel. It is (or was) 6 euro a day, and worth it. You pull up, unload your luggage, and the staff parks your car in a secured garage until you leave or need your car.

San gabriel,
Great place. Like a room in a mansion house not a hotel. Which made me feel much more confortable. A library with good reading material a small garden to eat or sip drinks in. Cozy and confy would definitly go again. If you dont like the ambiance of luxurious quality then I would miss this one. It would be erfect for a dream holiday or even a romantic break.
It is right in the middle of the old town so is a bit hard to get to by car. The narrow streets are difficult to drive down and there can be stuff blocking the way. But hey it is Ronda, what do you expect? Easy access to all hotels via trams and subway? I think not

I personally love the cozy San Gabriel for the family run charm (that cute little movie theater) and the personal warmth of the owners. They are a very well connected Ronda family who run their hotel-home with great style. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Room 9 is a suite with sitting room.

I stayed at the San Gabriel and loved it for the same reasons others have stated; however, if you are old enough for the Golden Days rate at the Parador, the location is more convenient and you can book a room with a view of the gorge.
I haven't heard of Hotel Enfrente Arte.

We stayed at Hotel Enfrente Arte last fall and loved it as well. Can't compare it to Hotel San Gabriel though, which also sounds nice.
What we loved
- small boutique type hotel in a nice residential area, not too far from the main sights
- uniqueness (you have to look at the pictures on Trip Advisor)

- great terrace spaces - no views of the gorge but beautiful view of the rolling hills outside of town
- included breakfast - more than just the basics
- included bar shared by all guests (wine, beer, soft drinks, water, coffee/cappucinos, juices, etc available all day and included in the price of the room)
- reasonable price for all that was included
