Rome to Todi on a Sunday - public transport help please
Hi Fodorites, am struggling a bit here and need some help please.
On Sat 2nd Jan (in the evening, 6pm), I land in Rome.
On Sun 3rd Jan, I need to get from Rome to Todi, Umbria.
After umming & aahhing, I decided that I really want to do this by public transport as I will be jet-lagged.
I've read conflicting reports about whether this is a possible route on a Sunday or not.
Can you please help me?
Thanks
loveners

I can see that I can take a train from Rome Termini to Terni and then take a local train

But I can't tell if this train runs on a Sunday and which Todi stop I should get off at. I am staying at Via Eliseo Fattorini.

On the page linked by Loveners, the columns with "Festivo" at the top indicate trains that run on Sundays and holidays. At the top of the timetable, it tells you (in italics) which train you'd have to get from the various cities on the left to make a connection at Terni. From that you can see that the 9:35 train from Termini station will get you to Terni by 11:15, and that the train to Todi leaves at 11:27. That's the only morning train, but there are three others in the afternoon.
Trains to Terni aren't very frequent on Sundays, either.

For what it's worth, were it me landing in Rome at 6pm in January, I would go check into the airport Hilton, sleep until 10am, and pick up a car the next day at the airport. It's a 2 hour drive to Todi from FCO. Downside risk is weather so bad you don't want to drive, but I would book it now and then cancel later if you must and take the train.

If you're going into Rome for the first night, the first bus to Perugia on Sunday originates at the Tiburtina station.
