has anyone taken a car ferry from mainland Italy to Sardinia? How long did it take? Does the ferry leave from Rome or another town? I heard there maybe a fast ferry from Rome area - takes 3 hours - can't find any information on it though. Can you take a ferry from Sardinia to Toulon - need info. Do you need a reservation for either ferries?
Am travelling in July 2000.
Thanks.
Cheers, Liz
