Rome to Cascia - is it better by train or bus?

My husband and I will be in Rome last week of June. We want to have a day trip to the shrine of Saint Rita. I read that there's 1 bus from Rome at 730 am only and returns at 330 pm. Someone said that alternatively, you can take a train to Spoletto then transfer to a bus going to Cascia . What's better? Recommendations will be much appreciated

The bus is the best. Otherwise you'd have to take the train to Spoleto, then a bus to Norcia, then another bus from Norcia to Cascia. It would take forever, because you'd have a long wait for a bus in Norcia. You could maybe find a taxi in Spoleto.
